I try to open the app on my iPad Pro and it crashes 🙁

It does record actual sound and just shows the Rv. It also has a pretty big lag from time you push record to time it actually starts recording. I expected more especially for the price.
Nice to have a meter like this in your pocket or on your wrist. Well done!
Well around app for monitoring noise.
App keeps asking for feedback when I already paid for the full version. You are unable to use it fully without answering their questions.
Neighbors who would have you believe that your music is too loud will want to reconsider giving you grief when you can prove the actual volume. Takes much of the subjectivity out of neighborly complaints.
Works great
I am not sure if I know how to operate it. But several places were so loud you couldn’t talk and the meter registered quiet street.
Handy to solve sound issues
Works great looks great. But I’ve never seen it at zero ?
Used at church services (pre COVID). Helps us understand how loud the music is that hurts our ears.
Does what is said it did and some.
Great app!!! Functional and clear with great interface
Useful for me as hearing loss makes it difficult to judge sound levels. I use it to ensure my music doesn’t bother neighbors.
Wonderful, It actually saved the day fir us once.
I love it
Developer Vlad responded to my bug report quickly. The bug was fixed within a day. 👍 There was an issue with Healthkit sync.
So far really enjoying this app. Several useful features.
I have used this app for years and never had a problem and now they keep having pop up windows that make it impossible to use unless I buy the pro version. I’m dumping this and switching to a different one. I got a pop up that said give us a review while I’m trying to figure out what acoustics seem to be off in a newly remodeled room. Well here ya go guys!
Very good app
The easiest and most calibrated dB meter for your phone!
I downloaded this version and paid $5. When I try to connect it to the health app I doesn’t let me and says access denied. Then I realize there is another app that chargers $3/month from the same developer that let you connect with the health app.
All the basic tools are included for noise analysis.
It’s actually more quiet than normal conversation. Helps me at work too.
I love the app. I purchased it some time ago and now my purchase isn’t restoring.
Worked great until updated to iOS 11, now it’s incompatible
If you have a problem, you can not go to customer service for help because no one HOME!
Totally unacceptable. Also, the amateur who designed the UI doesn’t like combo boxes. Instead, you get a button that cycles through all the options. Laughably bad UI design.
Latest update takes away the ability to use the app for an unlimited amount of time, which we previously paid for.
Repeatable and accurate and in case you didn’t notice, beautiful.
Well supported. Very good app. Does what it’s supposed to do. Recommend.
Having purchased this app, I was quite pleases, however, after a recent update, suddenly a feature that I rely upon is broken as after a few minutes of use the screen is replaced by an advertisement.
Profoundly hard of hearing. I use this app to determine what normal sound is, adjust tv, then adjust aids so everyone is hearing at same volume level.
Having a tool to measure sound level anywhere, anytime is very helpful. I'm using it to gauge the effectiveness of sound insulation on my in-house air handler. Otherwise, it would be only guesswork. Great app!!
It work great
I have tried several others and this tool is more accurate and easy to use. Does need an easy way to reset for new runs. Thank you for a good accurate tool.
Great app and I got it for free!
Works well
This is an awesome app. I'm an audio engineer for my church but we can't afford SMAART or any of those awesome RTAs. This app is a great substitute. It could use a couple improvements. On the RTA, there's a bar you can use to help you find a frequency, but it doesn't tell you what frequency you're on. It would be awesome if next to the bar it told you what frequency you're on and what the relative dB reading is. Also I do like that the app runs in the background, I just wish it didn't freeze and reset every time I go back into the app. We use Planning Center as well, so I switch back and forth between the apps a lot. Overall, great app that could use a few tweaks to make it better. 4.5/5 stars.
well designed
App appears to work well. I use it to measure sound levels in vehicles and to assist in calibrating audio equipment.
I use it to make sure I have our sound machine for our kids set at an appropriate noise level. Super convenient.
I have developed tinnitus over the years and I don't want to make it any worse. So long, in the ear earbuds... I still like to rock out with the great home stereo gear that I have, and this app lets me see at a glance if I'm overdoing it. It's also great to know just how crazy loud it can get in a car. Snow tires increase the interior loudness by a lot... Save your ears! It's worth it.
Developers have kept the app updated since 2011 and continue to improve it, clean, beautiful, and simple UI but filled with the information you need to monitor and analyze any acoustic environment I have used it to monitor ambient noise in empty concert halls, classrooms and houses, as well as silly stuff like proving how loud someone snores ;-)
It's wonderful! I like it! App has high quality graphics, good content! Special high quality sound, use easily! I can feel comfortable when i use app! This is amazing! I will share app with my friends! I hope app will grow strongly in the future! Good luck ! Thank you
Great iOS and watchOS app. Appreciate the noise level exposure charts built in, I always forget the different recommendations. One thing I'd change, is get rid of the 3D rotation transition. It gives me pre iOS 7 vibes.
Being an AV technician and DJ on the side I found this to be very useful balancing systems and keeping in line with local sound ordinances. Works best with my iPhone out of case and held upside down
I'm honestly not sure what to do with this app. It seems to record varying decibel levels ok, but I can't export the saved audio clips, it's like it's glitched or something. I would like to see the clips play with a bar graph of the decibel levels and also it would be nice to hear the audio and pinpoint in the audio event where the peak is. This app needs some work as it's really only a one trick pony right now.
Works well, and provides very similar levels to a professional db meter I use.
